New Exhibition

Villa del Arte, Passeig de Gràcia 38-40, presents a new exhibition by Hiroomi Ito, a Japanese contemporary artist based in Barcelona whose work bridges ancestral traditions and critical reflections on modern society. Ito works exclusively with handcrafted materials imported from Japan (handmade washi paper, sumi ink, wheat starch, charcoal, roasted tea, natural pigments, gold or silver leaf), rooted in nihonga painting but departing from its conventions to question cultural identity, globalization and stereotypes.
