Picasso

This show offers an illustrative example of the evolution of Picasso's pictorial style, presenting Barcelona audiences with works from periods that aren't so well represented in the museum's permanent collection.

The group of works shown at the Fundación Juan March in Madrid are complemented here by seven other pieces from the Museu Picasso in Barcelona that provide an opportunity to trace the artist's oeuvre from 1900 to 1968.

This show doesn't intend to be an exhaustive survey, which would be practically impossible, but it does offer Barcelona a representative example of Picasso's stylistic periods, particularly those not well depicted in the Catalan museum.
