Exposition
Egon Schiele. The Leopold Collection
A show of works by Egon Schiele, outstanding representative of Austrian Expressionism, housed in the Leopold Collection.
This exhibition is a fine opportunity to get to know the work of Egon Schiele, a distinguished Austrian painter whose daring translations of emotions into Expressionist forms shaped a plastic language filled with intense personal connotations. Despite the brevity of his life and the fact of having being associated with the oeuvre of Gustav Klimt and then with the Expressionism propounded by Oskar Kokoschka, Schiele succeeded in creating a new, highly personal and extremely innovative style.
