“Hoy en día todo el mundo muere” is a personal diary that navigates the turbulent waters of a difficult period. Consisting of a short comic and a collection of wax-painted cards, the project chronicles my mistakes and setbacks through a form of therapeutic vomiting.

The project was born in Bratislava. When I began documenting my daily life, I found it easier to draw it as a comic rather than write it down. I realized that drawing allowed me to express myself more freely and without filters. Little by little, I started immortalizing those days from a parallel perspective, using characters that existed only in my imagination. I summoned them onto the page and allowed them to act as my therapists. Later, I continued the project in Buenos Aires, occasionally sharing the journal with loved ones so they could leave their mark on it, almost like signing a school yearbook.

Eventually, I set the comic aside. I slipped back into old habits and spent a long period traveling across different parts of the world. Although I continued working on other artistic projects, I did not return to the practice of documenting my days until early 2026. At that point, I traded the small pocket notebook for large sheets of paper, and the fine-tip fountain pen for colored wax crayons.

This marked the beginning of the project’s second phase. While the motivation and purpose remained the same, the form of expression took a different direction. What had once been a portable creative impulse evolved into a process that required stillness, stability, and a home environment. During the hiatus I took while traveling, I realized that my life needed color— especially in the way I dressed—and that realization naturally extended to the way I expressed my inner world. Introducing color into my work was something I had barely explored before, yet it became exactly what the characters from that first portable journal seemed to be asking for.

Stumbles and falls in a therapeutic day in the life of unicorn vomit: references to everything experienced, everything occupying the mind and waiting to emerge—chaos upon chaos. Seeing it all laid bare reminds me of scrolling through my TikTok feed: an endless stream of intense stimuli and algorithmic fragments
